The cast is an ensemble of people from all backgrounds. Auditioners with special talents are heavily encouraged to share those in their audition form. These could include but are not limited to: playing instruments, acrobatics, close up magic, puppetry, etc.

Cast members must be 15 years of age, or older.

If auditioning for the role of Jesus, ability to play electric guitar is preferred.

Please note (Intimacy Warning):

Those who accept the roles of Jesus and John/Judas will exchange kisses on each cheek during the show.

For all ensemble members, this is a physicalized story pulling heavily from clowning, commedia and other movement based story traditions. This may involve touching other cast members.

Artistic Synergy of Baltimore is a consent based and trauma informed organization and all ensemble members will be led through intimacy and consent based practices to choreograph and block movements of the show. If you have questions regarding details or more information about these practices, please email us at
