Audition Information

All Roles Open, Non-Union, Non-Paid

Actor Ages: 8 – 18

Audition Dates & Times:

  • Saturday, May 2, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Monday, December 4, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Tuesday, December 5, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Thursday, December 7, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Callbacks)

Please Bring

  • Photo/Headshot
  • Resume or list of previous shows (if applicable)
  • List of schedule conflicts between May and August (no tech week or show conflicts will be accepted)
  • Prepare approximately 30 seconds to one minute of a song in the style of the show (please do not prepare a song from the show)
    • Bring sheet music (Accompanist will be provided)
    • OR Bring a karaoke track (Bluetooth-enabled speaker is provided)
  • Shoes and clothes appropriate for a short dance audition (dance will be taught)

SHOW SYNOPSIS

Disney’s Camp Rock The Musical centers on Mitchie and her friends returning to Camp Rock for summer music camp, only to face a new, flashy rival, Camp Star, threatening their existence; Mitchie rallies everyone for the “Final Jam” showdown, learning lessons about being true to yourself, rivalry, and finding your voice, all while dealing with star Shane Gray and rival Tess Tyler, culminating in a big performance where secrets are revealed and new friendships form.

Characters

Mitchie Torres – A familiar face and veteran at Camp Rock. She falls for Shane. Talented, smart, and outspoken. Portrayed Gender: female

Brown Cesario – A former rock star and the new owner of Camp Rock. Brown cares about keeping the integrity of the camp intact. Passionate, musical, kind-hearted. Portrayed Gender: male

Axel Turner – Founder of Camp Star. A former rock star himself, he is Brown’s nemesis and Dana’s father. Competitive, ruthless, delusional. Portrayed Gender: male

Georgina Farlow – A reality television host hired by Axel to host the “Final Jam.” Slick, enthusiastic, a hot-shot. Portrayed Gender: female
